Let your light shine! Sounds good, especially as we all experience Leo, the Sun’s own sign! Moreover, its a much quoted Biblical edit! “(Let your Light shine among men” Matthew 5:16) But there is a ‘but,’ a very vital’ but’ at that, a qualification without which you may be susceptible to the Lion’s numero uno Achilles heel, flattery! Feeling all that light, all that love radiating from every cell and atom of one’s being feels great, people notice, they applaud, they follow, and if they happen to be the more submissive types, they bow. Wonderfully, the Leo Man or Leo Woman lives up to the challenge, becoming the Hero, the Leader, the famous Actor, the CEO, the Ruler, some sun center somewhere even if the domains are relatively small, such as that of being the soccer coach, an important personage in a young person’s life! Yes, quiet Leos do exist, their Sun Sign qualified by other ponderous planets such as Saturn or Neptune, their charts sprinkled with more reclusive signs, such as Virgo, Scorpio or Pisces, or perhaps the Sun is hiding in the the 8th or tucked away in the 12th house. They shine almost against their own efforts to lead a private life, it is curious, their challenge is to nurture, acknowledge and give the gifts given them in right measure. We all know that outer beauty fades, fortunes may flip in a moment, positions may be lost, armies conquered, celebrity relegated to new faces, but let us state the obvious because it is so often forgotten! Claim the Light, become the light, radiate the Light within you, but remember you are no more the source of the light than is the day the source of sunlight which characterizes it.
