As promised (see “Prophecy is Meant to Fail”), here is the next part of what we all need to know for grasping the nature, tests. opportunities and challenges of the historical time in which we find ourselves. In “Aquarius, with Liberty and Justice for All” I wrote of how the influx of Aquarian light energy has swept us into this new age of universal freedom and brotherly love; how the same energy has stirred up and shone light upon pockets of hatred, witnessed by the ends some people will go to in order to give vent to their dislikes and selfish desires. I pointed out the crucial importance in this most crucial time of great awakening for each and every one of us to search within his or her own soul—self-observe and WEED out of your psyche (soul)any vibration, erroneous belief or energy of hatred and mal intent. For some, the signs are obvious—do you get so mad (synonym for crazy) that you curse (damn) someone (and hopefully later sorely regret having done so)? For others, the signs are more subtle.

Aquarius’ symbol is that of the waterbearer. But what do the waters being poured upon humanity by the waterbearer symbolize? Visualize the outpouring of spiritual essence unto the world and to each soul individually, as s/he is open to and able to receive these healing, nourishing, revivifying waters of life!

Psyche, the root word of psychology, means soul; the Aquarian Age is the age of the soul (solar, ie.heart) awareness! A transformational astrology reading can help you identify and master the elements of your own makeup, implement essential keys for improving your close relationships and find greater happiness and peace of mind.

Love is powerful and love brings a judgment. At times, merciful. Certainly, tolerance is an Aquarian virtue. But let us not confuse tolerance with accommodating manifestations of anti-love. For true love, the love of Aquarius, is as fierce as the mother goddess Kali, as a mother in defense of her children. True love separates truth from error. As love expands within our hearts and illumines our minds (Aquarius is an air sign after all) and frees our souls, we are each individually called to surrender some condition of consciousness that blocks or interferes with our capacity to know and express true love. And as any loving parent quickly discovers, love requires sacrifice (Leo, Aquarius’ polarity), sacrifice that enriches our lives as well as that of others.

Love the little child, be fierce as Kali in your defense of children everywhere, in the judgment of those who would prey upon and/or in any wise harm the child, including the little one seeking to be born! And love the child within yourself, your inner child, your soul!

When my son Eduardo celebrated his sixteenth birthday, his siblings and I all chipped in and gifted  him a framed copy of  Nancy Glazier’s painting of peace and harmony,  “The Lion & the Lamb.” As a natural born leader (Sun in Leo), I knew the painting’s message was important for his soul and his future. And now, for ours as well. For the Lion (Leo), the Lamb (Taurus), the Man (Aquarius) and the Flying Eagle (Scorpio) are at the very heart of the Aquarian Age transformation we are experiencing. More on this in a future post.

Transformational Astrology 101’s next post will be on the planetary dual rulerships of Uranus (breakthroughs, freedom) and Saturn (the law); why freedom cannot thrive without self-discipline. And how the economy, a manifestation of love’s expression and exchange in our loves, is at the core of the inevitable changes shaking our loves and transforming world consciousness. Stay tuned!
